I am based in Amsterdam and work as a multidisciplinary artist, with film, audio-visual installation and produce interdisciplinary performances. Coming from the dance world my work is overall sensorial & visceral.
While the human body is one main channel of exploration and expression, I cherish the alchemy within the meeting of the different disciplines. Beyond – or maybe before – visual artist, film maker, choreographer and performer, I am a poet, using different media to explore and create. Maybe a shaman, as I always seek to pierce through to an essential core – central themes to my work: transformational processes, empowerment and freedom as well as often the innate soul connection between our inner psychological / emotional and outer landscapes.
I am a traveler and I love adventure. It’s beautiful that my work, being presented internationally, allows me to travel, meet and collaborate with artists world wide. These connections and meetings are one of the most inspiring and enriching aspects of my creative path. Someone recently said, ‘So, your Virgo plans and your Sagittarius enjoys the adventure.‘ That person might have had a point.
I am very excited about the upcoming journey in the frame of TISP, to visit TaikaBox and meet and collaborate with everyone who will become part of this adventure.
