To me, being an artist means being a researcher, an activist, a builder, a designer, a philosopher, a writer, a teacher. It means I am sometimes a gardener or a baker or a social servant. I make art to make sense of the world around me, to understand what it means to be human. As a keen walker, I am at home where my feet are.

I usually work site-specific using different media, often building installations and doing interventions inspired by specific places, their history and customs, as well as their human and more than human inhabitants. I research slow ways of being and walking as an artistic medium by making long distance performative walks, crossing countries on foot in a three-piece business suit (A Soft Armour), collecting stories and exploring life. I love words, nature, coincidences, growing things.

In 2024 I founded the Bureau of Slow Endeavours, a “place” for anything that opposes the unnatural speed of modern life with ample room for collaborations between likeminded souls and none-human research partners. In recent years I walked with tree saplings, was taught by sheep, embroidered other peoples’ questions on my walking suit and collaborated with symbiotic cultures.
