I am a visual artist and researcher. Since 2016, I have been working with the theme of public transport, approaching it as a place for various atmospheres, encounters and practices. In 2024, I defended my practice-based PhD about the atmospheres of tramways. There, I elaborated on the method of on-site sketching, both an artistic practice and an ethnographic visual tool.
Sketching on locations is a great way to access atmospheres on the move and express them in a visual form. Furthermore, sketches can then be presented in various formats. Previously, I assembled my sketches into a poster exhibition, a museum show, and printed them as postcards. My next endeavour is making a comic book based on sketches I will do on the road and at the site of the residence.
